AKB48 sub-unit DiVA to debut on April

In other more relevant news, Akimoto Yasushi recently announced the debut of AKB48 sub-unit DiVA and Akimoto Sayaka’s reinstatement as Team K’s leader. DiVA is composed of Akimoto Sayaka (Team K), Umeda Ayaka (Team K), Sae Miyazawa (Team K) and Masuda Yuka (formerly Team K, currently in Team B) and they are under the care of Avex Trax Japan. DiVA Official Website. Other AKB48 sub-units include no3b, Watarirouka, FrenchKiss, and the recently debuted Not Yet.

Their single, yet to be announced will drop on April 27 but it was revealed that Type C will include Blue Rose -diva version-. Blue Rose is one of the most popular stage songs of Team K, originally performed by Masuda, Akimoto, and Miyazawa. Akimoto and Miyazawa was once part of ChocoLove (another defunct AKB sub-unit) with graduated member Nakanishi Rina (Team A) who now goes by the name Yamaguchi Riko.

Can’t wait for their release! I swear, these four are new breed of AKB48 idols with epic proportions because of their deep vocals and powerful dancing and well, let’s not forget to mention how Sayaka!charms can melt glaciers. Pinay pride all the way!
